Did Brighton make it to Sixth?
- Not quite. Brighton fell to a 3–0 defeat, ending any hopes of a Champions League finish. For a moment, it looked as though they might miss out on European football altogether — but Liverpool and Brentford’s 1–1 draw threw them a lifeline. Brighton edged Brentford on goal difference to finish 8th, securing a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Not the dream ending, but the Seagulls can still fly into the summer with a smile.

Did Bruno claim the record outright?
- He did — and then some. Bruno sealed his 21st assist to become the outright all-time single-season assist record holder in Premier League history, and added a goal on top to cap off a brilliant final day.
[ How Did It Pan Out? ]
- Did Bruno get his 21st?
- Record broken. 1G 1A on the day.
- Did the fringe players deliver?
- Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee came on at 74′, with Tyrell Malacia following at 82′. Ugarte didn’t feature. One notable moment — Yoro replaced Mazraoui and slotted in at right back, an unfamiliar role for the Frenchman.
- How did the youngsters fare?
- Shea Lacey (62′) and Tyler Fletcher (74′) both got their run out. No standout moments, but they did their job — helping United hold the lead and keep the clean sheet.
- How did Carrick‘s first match as permanent manager go?
- Couldn’t have gone much better. A dominant 3–0 win, a historic record broken by Bruno, and even some of the out-of-form players showing signs of life — it was a statement start, both on and off the pitch. If this is what Carrick’s era looks like, United fans have plenty to be excited about.
